We would like to take this opportunity to formally invite you to visit New England this coming May and join us in celebrating the beginning of summer with merriment, friends, and a whole lot of rock-paper-scissors.

 

Pre-Registration and Cost:

 

The pre-registration fee will be $30 for the weekend.  This includes a campsite for all four days of the event, and dinner on Saturday night.  Pre-registration will be open until May 1st.  Registration cost after that date, and at the door, will be $40.

 

Paypal is preferred – you can send your pre-registration fee to jplace@hiddenflame.net.  Please include your name in the paypal, so we know who it is from.  If you need to make arrangements to pay with some other method, please contact us at nebeltaine@hiddenflame.net.  Also, don’t forget to fill out and send in the registration questionnaire at the end.

 

Lodging:

 

There are 6 cabins available which can hold 36 people.  These cabin spaces are available on a first come, first serve basis, starting with those that pre-register.  If you are interested in a cabin spot, please indicate so on the registration questionnaire. 

 

Please note that the cabins available at Burlingame State Park are rustic cabins with no utilities; water, electric, sewer offered. The cabins have two bunk beds available in each; mattresses and bedding are not provided.  The campground has restrooms with shower facilities that are just a short walk down the road from our site.

 

If you are unable to secure a cabin space, a tent campsite will be available, but you will need to provide your own tent.  Each campsite will be holding up to 6 people, so if you are attending alone, please do not bring an excessively large tent that prevents others from using their own.

 

Finally, hotels are available nearby for those that do not wish to camp on site.  While we have no arrangements with local hotels, there are a number of local hotels and bed and breakfasts, as well as larger hotels approximately 15 miles away in Mystic, CT (approximately 30 minutes by car, since there are a number of back roads).

 

Vehicles:

 

We have a limited amount of room for vehicles.  Please indicate if you are planning on bringing a vehicle on the questionnaire so that we can ensure there is enough space.  If it is possible to carpool, please do so.

5pm – Check in, begin RP

12am – Storytellers offline

 

Saturday

10am – Storytellers online, check in for those arriving, soft RP

12pm to 5pm – RP and Plot!

5pm to 7pm –Dinner (provided)

7pm to 12am – More RPing and Plot!

12am – Storytellers offline

 

Sunday

10am – Storytellers online, soft RP

12pm to 5pm – RP and Plot!

5pm to 7pm – Dinner break (not provided)

7pm to 12am – More RPing and Plot!

12am – Storytellers offline

 

Monday

10am – Storytellers online

12pm to 4pm – Final plot and wrap-up

4pm – Site cleanup and checkout

 

Site Rules and Regulations:

 

·         If it’s against the law, it’s obviously against the rules.

·         This is a public campground with a number of non-LARPers nearby.  Therefore, please do your best not to freak out those not involved in game.  No loud screams, no shouting “murderer” or “I’m going to kill you,” or anything that could cause someone to call the police on us.  If you must howl, keep it at conversational volume.  Use common sense.

·         From 10pm to 7am, volume must be kept down.  No shouting, no loud laughing, etc.  We are on the edge of the campground so there should not be a great many people close to us, but please keep this rule in mind.

·         No littering, damaging the sites, or otherwise defacing the park or its property

·         Fires MUST be attended at all times and kept in designated areas.

·         No alcohol on site

Character Sheets:

 

We will begin accepting character sheets for initial review April 1st – we would like to make sure that any issues are ironed out well in advance.   We will accept character sheets until May 14th.  We will accept updates ONLY until May 21st, to allow people time to get in those last minute XP expenditures.

 

House Rules:

 

A simplified set of event House Rules is under construction and will be posted as soon as possible.
